Originally Virginia Farms, Inc., the company was started by a local Cebuano family in 1968. In 1992, it became Virginia Food, Inc. with its expansion from animal farming to meat processing. Recently in 2002, it was acquired by Avalon Holdings, Inc.
At present, Virginia Food, Inc. is engaged in manufacturing, distribution, and selling of processed meat products. It caters to consumers nationwide, with bigger concentration in the Visayas and Mindanao Area.
